Beach House

While the photos are not the best you can see the inside of the beach house.  The deck is attached to the beach house and like most things dollhouse, it is not finished.  Always adding.  It needs a deck under it to bring it up to the level of the deck.  That will come and it needs a few more furnishings but that too will come.

The house is made of foam core and it is an original design.  You can see how I scored the walls with a stylus and a ruler to give them texture.  I also didnt like the counter top that came with the kitchen cabinet I bought so I painted it black and marbled it with some white and gray paint.  All acrylic paint.  I used regular house paint for the walls.  Interior and exterior.  I will post some exterior pics when I get them.

There is lobster in the pot.  What else would we have for dinner in the beach house.   Oh wait....maybe we are having sandwiches that are already on the table.  And there is pie!

The tray is just card stock that is painted with some acrylic paint metallic blue and the cups are copper fittings from the hardware store that have wire handles on them.  I shaped the handles and painted the cups with more acrylic metallic paint

The bedroom doubles as a living space with a TV and comfy chairs to sit and read a book.  The doors lead to the deck (that I need to finish that has a sandy beach and a beach scene).

The bathroom is a bit smaller room and is at the end of the house.  Built in tub and towels on the shelves.  Towels are made from infant wash clothes that you buy in the baby department.  The material is thinner and still has the texture of towels.  I bought the rob and slippers from a scrape book section at Walmart.  Bath brush is made from pipe cleaner.  The soap dispenser is a bead with a jewelry fitting on top and the waste basket is a creamer container from Hardies.
