Nancy's Tudor Style Home

A good friend of mine also has a marvelous collection of doll houses.  Here is her Tudor is all its glory.
The Dollhouse was made by Robert Stubbs - robertstubbs.co.uk
Everything in it has been brought from either eBAy, The Little Dollhouse Company of Toronto, the owner of which visited the Kensington Miniature Show in London, England every year or from the Toronto Miniature Show, or Le Petite Image of Port Perry, Ontario.

Lets begin in the kitchen.

Notice all the detail.  Getting ready for Christmas dinner!

This kitchen maid is making and stuffing the turkey! Note the crock underneath the table and the hanging cheeses and sausages behind her.

Here we show the detail of the hutches. AT the back is another stove, holding a copper hot water container with a tap.  To the left of that, a tapped beer keg.

This shows another store with copper pots, sink and drainboard.  On the far right, a Tudor food safe.

Notice here the detail of the stairs to the main floor, a coat rack with hand-painted letter holder on it's shelf.  A bench with storage with gifts on top and a fruit wreath.  Of course the painted sled!
Did you see the cane with a dog head handle?

Not all of us can afford a chef.

Next is the dining room.

In the dining room, you will find a cranberry glass punch set with glasses, a box of chocolates underneath, etc. The china hutch holds a set of turquoise blue real porcelain made by an artisan potter.  This household loves their food and drink!

Note the China Cheese Server, shaped like a cottage (cottage ware) on the front left of the table.

The living room here, shows the Christmas celebration.

Here you see the stairs going to the bedroom.  A tray of eggnog for Father Christmas and Gifts.  A chess table and chairs.

Note the Napoleon Brandy, box of cigars, etc. on the table.  And the large birdcage on the far right, with an African Violet on top!

The master bedroom, showing off the baby.

In the master bedroom you can see a safe, disguised as an ordinary cabinet and behind that, a birdcage.  Note the champagne stand and glasses.

The nursery is next.  One of the older children is having a snack it appears as they play with a toy.

Here we have a rocking horse, and the children's box bed, from above, with the wardrobe to the right of that.  A fireplace/stove to make tea and the leather fire surround which would serve as seating too. Note the elephant "hobby-horse".  A nativity scene graces the mantel and a tiny wall shelf.  The dolls sitting on top of the bed box...OH!
